I was having problems viewing the computers on my workgroup. I checked to see whether we were all on the same workgroup, and we were. I couldn’t see shared printers, either.
Things to check
1. Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Right click on Local Area Network > Properties > TCI/IP properties > Advanced > WINS > Enable NetBIOS over [...]

A Tumblog of Sorts
This is not a typical tech blog. Here, I post the fixes that I’ve happened across in the wild. It’s very possible that you’ll find stuff here that is active on other sites.
