This is beginning to get a little crazy. I got the PC moved successfully. Then I got smart and decided to do a complete windows up date. It all went well until I needed to reboot. and I got the BSOD:
STOP: 0X00000024 (0X00190203, 0X82ECA898, 0X0000102, 0X00000000)
It was so disheartening I wanted to laugh. It was so funny that I wanted to cry. I experienced a myriad of emotions – i never know what to do when I get these stupid messages.
Enter the repair console.
I googled and googled and none of the answers worked. I know it had something to do with the filesystem. So I loaded the recovery console, ran a CHKDSK /r, and rebooted.
The PC came up. I checked all the settings. I ran through all the processes my principal was likely to run through – and it all worked fine. I renamed the machine (important because it still had the same name as the GX520). It’s been a few days and I haven’t had a complaint.
SWEET! Chalk this up to a win for the Bad Guys!
