Ok, so i’ve had a day to low thru this Xerox software. Fhigh Points:

  • Good: I can configure all my machines centrally without having to keep up with all those IP addresses.
Bad: I have to have all those IP addresses to key them into the system. I set the software to automatically search for all the machines on campus. It only pulled the HP printers in my building (on my VLAN). I really don’t care why it didn’t work, I just know that it didn’t. Once I keyed in all the IPs, I was good to go.
  • Good: I can configure all my machines centrally without having to keep up with all those IP addresses.
BAD: not all of the features found in the machine’s UI can be found in the Server UI and vice versa. There are 3 or 4 places that can be used to name the machine; they ca’t all be accessed from the srver UI

Thats a beginning. Itdoesn’t seem to me that the Web UI was thought thru very well. *shrug*
